if you instal these files into the windows, you will receive a window asking do you want to replace this file ... you must hit "yes to all". if you don't , you will keep the normal version of that file. Not the file capable of the UnrealEd.

del, i,m in at last, but....when i have built my map and added light i go to rebuild geometry and it comes up with a message and takes me out of rune ed back to desktop , here,s wot it says "run time error 372" (i,ve seen that before ? )then it say,s Failed to load control "SSTab"from TABCTL32.OCX runed.exe application error . (then it says)The instruction at "0+016570d0"referenced memory at "0+00000be4"the memorycould not be "read".....ok , so wot i did (i bet your saying oh no ) i went to my files and foulders and searched for TABCT32.OCX found it in edfix and draged it to my system file . but it still came back with the same message, well i hope you can tell me wot to do next (lol)i,ll keep checking as usual for a reply cya later

ok so you can open the ed although you get a message after you rebuild... this means ur file is up to date, or the ed would not open. This would be the next thing to ask. When u drag the TABCTL32.OCX over to the windows system folder are you saying yes to all on replacing file with this new 1? Try it 1 more time then if it still happens, let me know. LoLLL you gotta love the Ed

that is why i said to do it 1 more time. Did u add new ram rescently? Or do u overclock ur computer? I purchased new RAM and it was faulty, this created many errors. If you are out of RAM your programs do not load properly. So put your old ram back in if you changed it rescently, or close down all other programs b4 you try to open the Editor. The Editor is a major RAM hog! This need more most programs u might be used to. If you want to close down to save some space on your computer go to:
MyComputer ControlPanel AddRemovePrograms then hit the middle grey tab(WindowsSettings) at top of new window. You can erase most of the checkmarks in the left column, like these: accessories desktop themes multimedia
Now after you turn these off by removing those checkmarks... restart comp........
then try the Ed. Then when you are done in the Editor replace those checkmarks and restart agin to use those programs if you want ;D Give it a shot man Peace out Deliverance

(or doesn,t it work like that) sorry for being abit of a der ! but i can say i am really trying , so let me know if i,ve done right cos i,m getting really worked up about this and i ain,t gonna let it beat me . Savage...to let you know I love to help people, therefor you aren't being a der! LoL No worries my friend... ok here we go...
do this 1 thing for me, to better inform me of your system.
*Go to the start menu on the tollbar of your desktop *Programs/ *Accessories/ *SystemTools/ *System Information/
A window will pop up stating all the information of your computer.
look at the "RAM" this is your memory(RAM) it should look something like this example: 256MB RAM If your number is lower than this # it might not be enough to run the Editor program. Post back about the amount of RAM on your computer, and we can go from there. Peace man, remember...don't worry, I am here to help till you get this goin! ;D Peace Deliverance

wow man you have plenty of stuff in your comp to run the Editor. The only thing that would cause these problems you are having is RAM or missed file or path. This is gonna drive you nuttzzz lol... The only thing you really have as an option is to explore the CD again to look at all the EdFix files. Once you have all those files infront of you, open MyComputer / C: / Windows / System after you open that path, so you are looking at the Widows/System folder... all those files that u see on the cd EDFIX, delete them from your windows/ system folder, so they are all gone. Once they are all deleted drag them back into the windows/system folder from the CDROM again. I am sorry that you are having all this dificulty . Not normally like this.DOH! Take your time and don't get mad at it, LoL. Just make sure you do everything slow and clean.. Good luck man. Write back after Peace Deliverance

LoL,,, who ever told you that was wacked Your problem is not in Rune! It is in you computer configuration. You Ram might be bad, or maye the Video card. Rune will not give that error. That is RAM related. Therefor try this.... Go to hit "ctrl" "Alt" Delete" make a list of the program names in that window. These are all the open programs loaded as you boot up your computer! I limit mine to 4 total. This leaves room for Rune to use my Ram, rather than all those programs not in use at the time. If you have too many it will eat up all your RAM. RAM( is temperary memory) meaning when you turn your computer on...it boots using ROM(ROM is built in memory, Permanant) RAM is what we save all our work that we have created using our programs. This is what you will be running on using the Editor. Try to make a list of all the programs in the "ctrl" "Alt" Delete" window. We can go from there. Peace man good luck Nice to see ya as a member now ;D
