I like the idea of small download for Rune, which is why I love the SlothsSkinsPack skins. They are awesome! What sucks hairy balls is that clients must download these skins to use them on servers. I made a window which will appear when a player joins a server, he can then choose to use a SlothsSkinsPack skin or not... Unfortunately, the images that shows the skins make the package 500+ kb. Is there anyway to show the skins without using images? To load them like you do in Options when you choose a skin there? It would be cool if you wouldnt have to download so much to use it!

Wow, I must say I like the idea you have created here. ;D Nice touch, I would love to see what u have so far. As for what I see, it looks like a minor window, though loading the graphic of each player would add a bit of a load. Im not really sure how to minimize it, as all the textures are defaulted, though these classes are new... leaving the need to show the graphics in place. Is the window built right into the SkinsPack code, or is it something running separately?

Well, at the moment it is a separate mutator, meaning you must download 600-700 KB in total (SkinChooser + SlothsSkinsPack). This is not good...
What is weird is that when I right click on the package folder containing all the code and pictures, it shows a size of 155kB, but after I compile it, the file size is suddenly 535kB. How is that possible?

LoL, that is a bit odd, as the size difference is quite large... U stated when compiled... what software are u using to compile this directory? It sounds like a huge bit of data(more than the normal for packaging data).
edit/added: I was going to edit and ask something but u had already mentioned that u made this window. I remembered something like it from that 1.09 project.

The pictures are in .pcx format, would that make any difference? edit/added: I was going to edit and ask something but u had already mentioned that u made this window. I remembered something like it from that 1.09 project. I don't play HOV, I play Rune 1.00. The mutator was made for Rune 1.00. In case you were wondering, the code to bring up the window with a mutator comes from "Rol Ancient's Rune Control v1.0 ", which was made by Robin "Rol Ancient" Lyngsdal about 10 years ago. He wrote this in the readme: So, to be clear, the window was made by me, the code to bring up the window was made by Mr Lyngsdal.

As u mentioned they are in pcx format... this might have something to do with it, though pcx format isnt really a big format. It seems like there is something else in the way here... did u use the code directly into the runeed, or was visual basic used for this?
Also there might be more to that window than you are aware of. Have you read through all the code used in the window, and was it modified from the original window. There might be a portion of the previous package that is still attached to this window.
Honestly it still doesnt make sense. Any way I can see the package being used here?
