I wanna finish the grapplehook I'm making, but I got some bugs to iron out 1st.
This one particular bug happens when the player is stuck to a wall/ceiling(i.e They go to phys_none when the arrive at Graphook's hitlocation). When the player throws the hook again, sometimes the hook disappears and without it the player cannot leave the wall/ceiling, they are stuck in phys_none. I notice this happens if the hook hits the wall again really soon after being thrown.
I'm not sure what happens to the hook, it just seems not to be there anymore.
If I can't stop it happening, I at least have to make it so the player goes to phys_falling when it happens.
I will try frikken 'round wid da collisionradius and extendedlength of the graphook, might have something to do with it.

maybe you gotta have a looksy at the code for anee of this to make sense.

I'll put my wishlist for it here, cause I gather my text files come out with no spaces.
Before it is released I wanna;
1. fix the afore mentioned bug above // This probably has something to do with a Touch(actor other) function in either state 'throw', 'active' or 'return' but I can nay figure it.
2. There are two executable functions I made(scoff and playdead) They work, but, only for me, if others try and do them on my server then they just don't work at all, even if they are admin. So it is something to do with clients and exec functions maybe, I suppose I should look at execs like throw and fire, they obviously work for everyone
3. When the hook hits an actor, it grabs it and takes it back to the player, when player swings, if the actor is a weapon, it stays attached, if other than a weapon, the actor drops off the hook. This all works, but I can't make the the attached weapon touch other players and do damage, this also means that it should not touch the hook that it is attached to, when the hook is in state 'swinging', I am hangin to get this workin', it will mean you can use the hook to wield any other weapon.
Those are the main things to get happenin'
Instructions;
To stick to walls and ceilings, crouch and throw
the execs
set input p scoff set input k playdead
To make it so the hook gets back to you quicker, be running when the hook hits, if you wanna go all the way to where the hook hits, you gotta keep still or be in the air(jump) as it hits.
