Did I say GRRRRRRRR? I got 2 new computers. There for I have 3 computers that are all wireless. I bought a Linksys router and 3 Linksys adapters. I CAN NOT get any of them online!! GRRRR I did everything it said...I installed all the cards and ran the cds in all 3. And of course hooked up the router. I turned off all the firewalls on the computers and I still can't get it to work. All the coms see the router and all have at least a good signal but none go online. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. But still not working!! Help me? ?

do you have any computer directly connected to the router via ethernet cord and if so can they get online. if you have no computer directly connected then connect one via ethernet cord and see if it gets online. if it doesnt then your router is not connecting to the internet.

From the sound of it, you mentioned you had signal, therefor the router is talking to the computers, though it is not talking to the Modem yet. All you have to do is a power cycle: 1-- unplug the power to the Modem (leave unplugged) 2-- unplug the power to the Router (leave unplugged) leave both unplugged for 30 seconds 3-- Plug in the power to the Modem ONLY! wait for the lights to come on and stabilize(about 30 seconds) 4-- Plug in the power to the LinkSys Router 5-- Reboot all computers That should do the trick for ya

We got the computers running but now I can't run a server on Rune. Tried opening port 7777 but it still isn't working. I didn't do it myself I let someone take control of my computer to fix them and asked them to open the port. Any advice besides go back to school? lol

Well it could be that the port information is not correct, as well as the IP of the computer might be changing from the IP that was placed into the port configuration. The other thing that might be playing a role is that you stated all computers are wireless, therefor leaving a possible issue on the pcket flow of the server machine. If you are wireless your computer might be exploding packets as it accesses the router to host on the internet. If these packets are failing it will create this issue. This would be caused by the wireless threshold setting. If you let me use remote access I can do it up for ya... Let me know what you want to do here...
