============================================================
After your Level is completed to your liking:
**Rebuild and save your work
**PLAY YOUR LEVEL - FINDING THE BEST PLACE TO TAKE YOUR LEVELS SCREENSHOT
after you locate the spot u think shows your maps strength hit "TAB" and type "shot"
this will take a picture and send it straight to your "Rune \ System" folder
**Close your Editor... remember you need to save your work if you haven't allready!
**Open your favorite art program and modify the sizes of the image to a perfect square 256 x 256
--then go to "SaveAs"(save this Image as a .BMP file)
SO...Your image... ----256 x 256 & saved as a .BMP----
=====save it as what ever name u want to then close the art program=====
====================================================
Open your Level in the RuneEd again
**Screenshot (to do this you must fist import the texture and this is how it is done...
1st--
Load (in the browse,Upper rt) " Textures "
2nd--
go to lower rt column to " Import "
a window pops up asking you what picture file you want to import(use the shot u modified as the 1st step of this tutorial)
3rd--
another smaller window pops up asking you to input some info
Name - Make it ...... " Screenshot "
Group - Leave it " none "
Package - make it " MyLevel "
make sure that there are "NO" CheckMarks in the boxes in this little window then hit " OK "
=========================================================== Now you have the picture loaded into the ed but we need to connect it to the actual level so...
**then in the upper toolbar of the Editor find " Options "
scroll to " Level Properties "
Look for " Level Info "
Once you find level info (click on the " - " to open it) Now a new list of your personal Level Properties are showing...
**First next to " Author " click in the input area next to Author and Place your name there.
**Second next to" IdealPlayerCount "(enter the amount of people you figure that map runs best with) It shows up as u click on a server in the screenshot
**Thirdnext to " Screenshot " (click on the screenshot you had just imported and should be looking at in the right hand column) now that screenshot should be highlighted---
Go to your LevelProperties to the line that says Screenshot and click in the input area. then click " Use " now that screenshot should be iserted into the line to read as your screenshot =)
Now You should be all done with the basic final touches so go to the upper Toolbar to " Scripts "
then scroll to " Compile All Scripts "
This should take a few minutes just let it go until your cursor returns as an "arrow" instead of the "TimeHourGlass"
After your scrpits are rebuilt you need to " Validate " your level. Go to Options in top toolbar and scroll to "ValidateLevel"
after you do that you will have a black screen pop up ...wait till it says in text...Level Validation Succeeded!
**RebuildGeometry 1 last time
**Save map as DM-"Name"
HeHe You are done now...Congrats and enjoy then Final touches of Level making in the RuneEd!
Peace all ... =iNi=Deliverance
